I have student conferences this week. I have to tell 1/3 of my students that when I turn in mid-term grades, they will be failing the course. Will they revise their crappy first papers and start coming to class more than once a week? We'll see. I'm so jealous of my fellow TA's. Most of them have 10-12 students this semester. Me? I still have 24. Is it a testament to my fabulousness that no one has dropped?
