if you never take out the trash, you're pretty unlikely to accidentally throw away something of value...say, a student loan check.
Nephew/Roommate went on a cleaning bender the same day our checks came. Now I can't find mine. Coincidence?
Hopefully the financial aid office is forgiving. Hopefully the check is lost and not stolen.
